Your breath is your most powerful and available tool to change your physical sensations, emotional state, and mental landscape in each moment. Being present is key to performing your best, but life centered around performance, in combination with travel, management, relationships, and the actions of others you cannot control, can be stressful, exhausting and overwhelming.
Lisa Joy presents a series of breathwork exercises to intentionally direct the rhythm, volume, location, and movement of the breath, while observing your sensations, and taking time for reflection, assessment, and conversation inside the workshop.
Through this interactive workshop, learn simple breathing practices to help you
- Calm and balance your nervous system
- Release anxiety and tension
- Ground into the present moment
- Dispel negative thoughts
- Focus your attention
- Uplift your energy to perform mental and physical tasks
Leave the workshop equipped with ready-to-use techniques to effectively release tension, manage stress, focus on being present, increase your lung capacity, and harness your energy, so you can feel and perform your best!
This session is appropriate for all ages and abilities and will be conducted in the comfort of your own space while seated or standing, with modifications available for those who prefer or need to sit. No special equipment, attire, or experience is necessary.
You will have access to download videos of the techniques presented, through the Active Potential App for continued support on the road to the stage.

Over the past three decades, it has been my passion to bring physical comfort and pain-free playing to musicians. Neuromuscular therapy is the basis for all of my work. is session will delve a bit into pain and why we have it, as well as looking at how I work with musicians with musculoskeletal pain. My goal in working with musicians is to provide hands-on work that reduces discomfort, and provides the musician with ‘homework’ to maintain comfort between sessions. My clients learn to deeply listen to their body so they can hear its whispers and take action to prevent a return to discomfort.

"Performance As We Age"
Aging and peak performance do not need to be oxymorons. Clearly as we age over time, we all will suffer from some weakening of our bones, muscles, joints and ligaments. This can contribute to more injuries and/or weaker performance in life, activity, sport or on stage.
With proper self care, rest and hydration strategies we can help to maintain and improve our peak performance.
Mary Kay’s webinar will discuss the holistic ways people can maintain or improve performance and reduce pain.
